Job Title: Optical Fiber Technician
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Optical Fiber Technician to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of optical fiber networks and FTTH connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and splice optical fiber cables.
- Conduct fiber testing using OTDR, Power Meter, and other testing equipment.
- Perform FTTH installation and maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
- Ensure proper cable routing, labeling, and documentation.
- Follow safety standards and company procedures during field operations.
- Coordinate with team members and supervisors to complete assigned tasks.
Requirements:
- ITI/Diploma, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of FTTH, GPON, and optical fiber technology.
- Experience in fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting is preferred.
- Ability to work in the field and travel when required.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of OTDR testing and fiber loss measurement.
- Experience with telecom network installation and maintenance.
- Understanding of safety practices in telecom operations.
