Role & responsibilities:
- Work with software tools like SolidCAM, Siemens NX to create programs for HMC, VMC (3Axis & 5Axis) and CNC Turning machines.
- Study of parameters like tool selection, feed rate, spindle speed of job setup.
- Great working knowledge and understanding of machine tooling, inserts, chip breaker function and proper usage of it.
- Define tool paths based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Calculate cutting parameters such as feed rates, spindle speeds, and tool selection.
- Optimize machining cycle times by adjusting tool paths and parameters.
- Design tools and fixtures to improve machining accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide support to machinists during production, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth operations.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Experience: 10-12 years
- Qualification: Diploma/B.E in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., SolidCAM, Siemens NX).
- Team Management.
- Understanding of machining processes, speeds, feeds, and tooling.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience in Aerospace domains preferred.
