Lenskart is building out its Hearing Aids business as a new consumer category, extending its playbook of making health & wellness devices affordable, accessible, and desirable — the same way it disrupted eyewear. We're looking for someone to own and lead this category end-to-end: from product and commercial strategy to compliance and go-to-market execution.
This is a high-ownership, build-from-the-ground-up role for someone who thinks like a founder inside a large consumer organization.
-
Category & Business Leadership: Own the Hearing Aids P&L — pricing, margins, growth targets, and category roadmap.
-
Consumer & Product Strategy: Bring strong consumer thinking to define product-market fit — device selection, features, and positioning for the Indian market.
-
Commercial & Marketing Strategy: Drive demand generation, pricing strategy, and marketing calendar in partnership with brand/marketing teams; identify the right consumer segments and channels.
-
Compliance & Licensing: Navigate and own regulatory for hearing aids/medical electronics in India (CDSCO/BIS/import licensing as applicable) — ensuring the business scales without compliance risk.
-
Vendor & Sourcing Strategy: Build and manage relationships with device manufacturers/OEMs (domestic or import), evaluate technology partners, and negotiate commercial terms.
-
Cross-functional Execution: Work closely with retail, supply chain, marketing, and store teams to integrate hearing aids into Lenskart's omnichannel network.
-
P&L Ownership: Be accountable for unit economics, category profitability, and scale-up milestones.
-
5–10 years of experience in D2C consumer electronics, wearables, or hearing aids/medical devices, with clear exposure to business/commercial roles (not purely technical/R&D).
-
Strong consumer and business sense — ability to think like a category owner, not just an operator.
-
Proven experience in commercial strategy, pricing, and marketing within an electronics/hardware business.
-
Working knowledge of compliance, certifications, and licensing relevant to electronics/medical devices in India.
-
Experience working with manufacturing/OEM partners — sourcing, vendor negotiation, quality/compliance alignment.
-
Comfortable operating in an ambiguous, fast-moving, 0-to-1 environment — this is category-building, not category-management.
-
Prior experience in hearing aids, D2C wearables (smartwatches, earbuds, health devices), or consumer medtech strongly preferred.
-
Direct industry connects in the hearing aid ecosystem (device makers, audiologists, distributors) — candidates can also be sourced via referral from existing industry contacts.
-
Experience scaling a new category/business line within a larger organization.
