Role Overview

The Market Manager – Himachal Pradesh will be responsible for driving revenue growth for the company's hotels through strategic business development, corporate sales, travel trade partnerships, banquet sales, and market expansion across Himachal Pradesh.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities for hotel rooms, banquets, weddings, meetings, conferences, and events
Generate business from corporate companies, government organizations, educational institutions, travel agents, tour operators, and event planners
Expand the company's presence across key markets in Himachal Pradesh
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and occupancy targets
Build and maintain relationships with corporate accounts and key decision-makers
Appoint and manage travel agents, destination management companies (DMCs), tour operators, and online travel partners
Negotiate corporate contracts, preferred rates, and annual business agreements
Generate repeat business through regular client engagement
Promote banquet venues for weddings, conferences, exhibitions, social events, and corporate meetings
Meet wedding planners, event organizers, and banquet booking agents to generate leads
Coordinate with hotel operations to ensure successful event execution
Conduct regular sales calls and market visits across Himachal Pradesh
Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, networking events, and tourism fairs
Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market trends
Recommend promotional campaigns and sales initiatives based on market intelligence
Maintain an active portfolio of corporate and travel trade accounts
Ensure timely follow-up on enquiries, quotations, negotiations, and confirmations
Maintain accurate customer records and update CRM systems
Resolve customer concerns professionally and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
Prepare daily call reports, weekly sales reports, monthly business reviews, and revenue forecasts
Track sales targets, conversion ratios, and account performance
Provide regular market feedback and competitor analysis to the Head of Sales

Requirements & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
5–8 years of experience in Hotel Sales, Corporate Sales, Business Development, or Hospitality Sales
Experience handling the Himachal Pradesh market and an established network within the travel and corporate sectors is preferred
Strong business development, relationship management, and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
In-depth knowledge of hotel sales, banquet sales, and revenue generation
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve sales targets
Preferred locations: Shimla, Dharamshala, Mandi, Solan, Chandigarh, or nearby regions with the ability to travel extensively across Himachal Pradesh
Salary: 45,000 – 70,000 per month (CTC) based on experience, market knowledge, and existing business network
