Job Title – Vendor Mgmt and Transformation Specialist
About the Role: Operate as an embedded vendor manager and transformation resource. Support supplier governance and day-to-day VMO operations as demand requires, then pivot to lead or contribute to priority transformation initiatives - process reengineering, blueprinting, SOP development, and capability build-out. Partner closely with the Global VMO Leader to deliver against both the transformation roadmap and steady-state service needs.
What You’ll Do:
Vendor Management Operations: When assigned, runs day-to-day vendor management processes across suppliers — performance and SLA tracking, scorecards, issue and escalation logging, invoice/PO and governance-cadence support — supplementing team capacity as needed.
Process Reengineering & Blueprinting: Maps current-state processes, designs future-state workflows, and authors SOPs, playbooks, and standards that drive consistency and standardization across suppliers.
Transformation Project Delivery: Owns and executes assigned workstreams on the VMO transformation roadmap (e.g., supplier segmentation, dashboards, value management, risk register, SOP build), delivering to agreed scope and timelines.
Reporting & Analytics: Builds and maintains trackers, scorecards, and dashboards (Smartsheet, Power BI); prepares clear reports and materials for governance reviews and leadership.
Stakeholder & Supplier Support: Coordinates with internal stakeholders and suppliers, prepares meeting materials, captures actions, and drives timely follow-through.
Continuous Improvement & AI Enablement: Identifies efficiency and automation opportunities and supports AI-enabled process improvements and a continuous-improvement mindset.
Flexible Assignment: Is called on to support the Global VMO Leader and teams on priority, ad-hoc initiatives as they arise.
What You'll Need:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Vendor Management: Proven, hands-on experience managing suppliers and running VMO processes — performance, governance, issues and escalations, and contract support.
Operations & Process Excellence: Strong operations management with demonstrated process reengineering and blueprinting; experience contributing to elevating or maturing a vendor management program is strongly preferred.
Project Delivery: Able to run discrete projects independently and deliver to deadlines with minimal oversight.
Communication: Clear writing and confident communication with stakeholders and suppliers at all levels; strong presentation and documentation skills.
Analytical & Tools: Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient in Smartsheet, Power BI, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Certifications: Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt), Project Management (PMP/CAPM), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
Bachelor’s degree required, with 3–5 years’ experience in vendor management, business process outsourcing operations, program/project management, or process improvement. Background in finance (F&A) outsourcing, real estate services, or IT is strongly valued.
