Role Overview
ISPP is seeking a senior, execution-driven leader to build Business Development and Placements as a unified growth function.
This role recognises that employer partnerships drive both revenue opportunities and placement outcomes. The Senior Manager will be responsible for building institutional relationships that translate into:
- Recruitment pipelines for ISPP scholars
- Executive education and training partnerships
- Strategic collaborations with organisations across sectors
The role reports to the Director – Executive Education & Career Services and works closely with leadership, faculty, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Partnerships (Primary KRA)
- Build and manage partnerships with corporates, consulting firms, government bodies, multilateral agencies, foundations, and policy organisations
- Identify and pursue opportunities for executive education, sponsored cohorts, customised programmes, and institutional collaborations
- Develop long-term engagement plans for key partner organisations
- Work with leadership to convert partnerships into repeat institutional relationships
2. Placement Pipeline Development
- Build recruiter relationships aligned with ISPP programme portfolios
- Create structured hiring pipelines across consulting, advisory, CSR, development, public sector, and policy organisations
- Translate BD partnerships into internship and full-time hiring opportunities
- Track employer engagement depth and conversion into placement outcomes
3. Strategic Employer Engagement
- Lead employer outreach, institutional visits, and partnership discussions
- Organise employer roundtables, industry briefings, and hiring interactions
- Position ISPP as a talent partner for organisations working in public systems, governance, and development
- Leverage the alumni ecosystem by working with the designated PDM lead and the Executive Education lead.
4. Market Intelligence & Institutional Positioning
- Track hiring trends across policy, consulting, government advisory, and development sectors
- Provide insights to leadership on emerging employer demand and partnership opportunities
- Support the positioning of ISPP programmes based on employer feedback and market signals
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Public Policy, Management, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, placements, or institutional engagement
- Proven track record of building relationships that convert into measurable outcomes (revenue, hiring, partnerships)
- Strong network across corporate, consulting, government, development, and education ecosystems
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders and close institutional collaborations
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and execution skills
- Interest in education, public policy, or institution building

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
