Job Summary
The Service Advisor is responsible for providing excellent customer service by understanding customer concerns, preparing repair orders, coordinating with the workshop, and ensuring timely vehicle delivery while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and understand vehicle complaints.
- Conduct vehicle inspection and prepare Job Cards.
- Explain repair requirements, estimated costs, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with workshop technicians for timely repair.
- Update customers on repair progress and obtain approval for additional work.
- Promote value-added services such as periodic maintenance, accessories, and extended warranty.
- Ensure timely delivery of vehicles with proper explanation of work performed.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure satisfactory resolution.
- Maintain accurate service records in the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Achieve service revenue, labour sales, and customer satisfaction (CSI) targets.
- Follow OEM processes and dealership SOPs.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.Tech in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering (Preferred).
- Graduate with relevant automobile dealership experience may also apply.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience as a Service Advisor in an automobile dealership.
- Experience with passenger vehicle dealerships will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and customer handling skills.
- Technical knowledge of automotive systems.
- Ability to prepare estimates and explain repairs.
- Knowledge of DMS and MS Office.
- Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
