Role Summary
The Project & Operations Head is responsible for leading end-to-end project execution and retail operations across all VB stores. This role ensures timely store launches, renovations, operational excellence, cost optimization, SOP compliance, and business growth. The incumbent will coordinate with internal teams, vendors, contractors, and store staff to deliver projects on time, within budget, and with the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute new store opening, renovation, relocation, and expansion projects.
- Prepare project timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource plans.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and as per quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor execution and ensure project quality.
2. Retail Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of all VB retail stores.
- Ensure 100% implementation and compliance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor store performance, operational efficiency, and customer service standards.
- Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements.
- Support store teams in resolving operational challenges and improving productivity.
3. Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead, mentor, and monitor store managers, site teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Conduct regular review meetings and provide operational guidance.
- Build strong coordination between Head Office and store teams.
4. Budget & Financial Management
- Prepare and monitor project budgets and operational expenses.
- Control project costs and minimize budget deviations.
- Analyze monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Improve cost efficiency while maintaining quality and operational standards.
5. Business Growth & Performance Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve store productivity and profitability.
- Implement operational initiatives that support sales growth.
- Analyze operational data and prepare performance reports for management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across projects and store operations.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Completion of a minimum of 2 projects per month within timeline and budget.
- 100% SOP compliance across all retail stores.
- On-time new store openings and renovation completion.
- Project budget variance within approved limits.
- Reduction in operational issues and downtime.
- Improvement in store productivity and sales performance.
- Vendor performance and quality compliance.
- Timely submission of project and operational reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in Project Management, Retail Operations, or Multi-Store Operations.
- Proven experience in new store setup, renovation, vendor management, and team leadership.
- Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
