Job Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
-Clinical Care
-Conduct comprehensive ophthalmic examinations.
-Diagnose and manage common ophthalmic disorders.
-Evaluate patients with cataract, retinal diseases, glaucoma, corneal disorders, refractive errors, and ocular emergencies.
-Develop appropriate treatment plans and provide patient counselling.
-Maintain high standards of ethical and patient-centric care.
-Retina Responsibilities
-Diagnose and manage retinal disorders including:
A.Diabetic Retinopathy
B.Retinal Detachment
C.Macular Hole
D.Epiretinal Membrane
E.Age-related Macular Degeneration
F.Retinal Vascular Diseases
G.Retinal Tears
H.Vitreous Disorders
I.Interpret OCT, Fundus Photography, FFA, B-Scan and other retinal investigations.
J.Assist in retinal laser procedures.
K.Assist in intravitreal injections.
L.Assist senior consultants in vitreoretinal surgeries.
M.Cataract Responsibilities
N.Evaluate cataract patients.
O.Perform pre-operative assessments.
P.Assist in cataract surgeries.
Q.Manage post-operative follow-up.
R.Documentation & Quality
S.Maintain accurate EMR and patient documentation.
T.Ensure NABH-compliant clinical records.
U.Participate in departmental meetings, CMEs, audits and quality initiatives.
Eligibility
Mandatory- MS Ophthalmology (Mandatory)
Valid NMC/State Medical Council Registration.
Excellent clinical examination skills.
Good communication and patient counselling abilities.
Passion for learning Retina and Cataract.
Preferred
0–3 years' experience after MS.
Fellowship in Retina, Cataract or Comprehensive Ophthalmology (preferred but not mandatory).
Fresh MS graduates with strong academics are encouraged to apply.
