The programmes at the University aims to integrate academic study with learning outside the curriculum and overall well-being of students. One of the best ways to do this in a diverse setup is to foster meaningful relationships and high levels of engagement between students and all members of the University community.
The role of the Resident Mentor team is to create these opportunities for students to have meaningful relationships with other students and University members outside of the academic set-up. The resident mentor team ensures that residential life is vibrant and active and helps build a diverse and inclusive campus community. This is done through structured initiatives within the University and unstructured interactions that are run by the Resident Mentor team.
The role of a Resident Mentor is a unique one developed in the University and is largely based on fundamental principles of positive engagement and care ethics. The Resident Mentors on campus are proactively engaged rather than only reacting to student and campus needs.
