POSITION SUMMARY
BOT VFX, a visual effects services company with global clients, is looking for a VFX Editor as a full-time Permanent role. The position is based out of Chennai (MAA) as a Work From Office role.
The core purpose of this role is to handle essential editorial tasks within the pipeline, managing incoming client media, verifying plate data, and maintaining accurate project line-ups to ensure production teams are working with the correct visual assets.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Verifying the pulls received from the client and packing version zeros with the proper color settings and frame ranges.

Validating input plates against the client edit QuickTimes and actively chasing the latest client editorial updates.

Matching retime, reposition (repo), and resize parameters accurately by closely following the provided project count sheets.

Converting media into various file formats and executing plate down-resolutions based on show requirements.

Maintaining show-wise editorial line-ups to ensure internal data matches client expectations throughout the production lifecycle.
REQUIRED SKILLS

Application Experience: Hands-on experience with industry-standard editorial and review tools including Nuke, Nuke Studio, DaVinci Resolve, ShotGrid (Shotgun), and Premiere Pro.

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of VFX editorial workflows, file formats, frame rates, aspect ratios, color spaces, and plate extraction.

Attention to Detail: High precision in verifying client data, count sheets, and conformity between edit reference files and production plates.

Communication & Tracking: Good communication skills to collaborate with production teams and track incoming/outgoing client media updates efficiently.
