We are looking for a vibrant, energetic, and passionate Fashion Designer to join our creative team.
Role Overview
As a Fashion Designer at Ayelin Boutique, you will lead the creative and operational process across our custom design lines while also serving as a key digital voice for our brand. You will work closely with clients in person and online to curate custom bridal wear, high-fashion party outfits, celebratory outfits for milestone events like 1st birthdays, and charming Mom-Daughter matching sets.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Design & Conceptualization
- Design and develop custom garments across multiple categories, including Grand Bridal Wear, Festive Party Wear, Kids' First Birthday Outfits, and specialized Mom-Daughter Matching Sets.
- Conceptualize unique themes for family milestone events, designing thematic mood boards and detailed sketches tailored to weddings, receptions, and birthday parties.
- Handpick premium fabrics, delicate lace, kid-friendly linings, trims, and embellishments suitable for both high-end bridal couture and delicate children’s wear.
- Stay ahead of current trends in wedding couture, kids' celebratory fashion, and family combo styling to offer fresh, modern concepts.
Production & Operations Management
- Manage the complete production cycle from design sketch to final garment delivery across bridal, party, and kids' wear lines.
- Direct and coordinate in-house master tailors, stitchers, and embroidery artisans to ensure seamless workflow and timely execution.
- Ensure all children’s and birthday outfits are constructed with child-safe, soft-lined, and comfortable finishing without compromising on style.
Client Consultation & Relationship Management
- Conduct interactive design consultations with brides, mothers, and families to understand their theme, budget, and aesthetic preferences.
- Provide expert advice on color palettes, silhouettes, and fabric combinations—especially for coordinating Mom-Daughter sets and full bridal trousseaus.
- Conduct structured fitting sessions for brides, kids, and family members, directing precise alterations to ensure a perfect, comfortable fit.
Social Media Handling & Client Engagement
- Actively manage and respond to incoming design inquiries, direct messages, and comments across Instagram and WhatsApp in a timely, professional manner.
- Convert online inquiries into boutique visits and consultation appointments by sharing outfit details, approximate pricing, and design ideas.
- Assist in capturing vibrant day-to-day photos and videos of custom outfits, work-in-progress embroidery, and fittings for Instagram content.
Quality Control & Technical Execution
- Inspect finished pieces strictly for flawless stitching, clean finishing, and accurate sizing across adults and toddlers.
- Oversee intricate embellishment techniques, including Aari work, Zardosi, beadwork, stone detailing, and custom hand embroidery.
- Oversee pattern making, garment structure, and precise draping for complex bridal lehengas, gowns, party wear, and scaled-down kidswear patterns.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Personality: Vibrant, high-energy, creative, and detail-oriented.
- Skills: Expertise in pattern making, garment construction, fabric selection, and traditional Indian handwork/embroidery techniques.
- Digital & Social Skills: Tech-savvy with prompt response habits on Instagram DM and WhatsApp; comfortable engaging with online prospects.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to manage family consultations, engage with kids during fittings, and direct workshop staff effectively.
- Location: Medavakkam, Chennai (or comfortable commuting).
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
