1. Infrastructure Management
User Support: Provide Level 1/Level 2 technical support to users via phone, email, remote tools, or in-person
Hardware Support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripherals
Software Support: Install, update, and troubleshoot OS (Windows/macOS), MS Office 365, antivirus, and business applications
Network & Connectivity: Diagnose and resolve LAN/Wi-Fi, VPN, email, and Active Directory issues
Asset Management: Maintain inventory of IT assets, track hardware/software licenses, and manage stock
Imaging & Deployment: Perform system imaging, OS deployment, and new user onboarding/offboarding
Ticketing: Log, prioritize, and resolve tickets in ServiceNow/Jira/Fresh service within SLA
Security: Ensure compliance with IT policies, perform patch updates, and support endpoint security measures
Documentation: Create and update SOPs, knowledge base articles, and user guides
Oversee networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs) and ensure optimal performance.
Oversee desktop support and end-user issue resolution.
2. Server Management
Health Check: Check CPU/RAM/Disk usage, event logs, services status. Morning first thing
Backup Verify: last night’s backup success, check tape/cloud sync, test restore monthly
Patching: Apply Windows/Linux updates in downtime window approved by IT Manager
Antivirus: Ensure definitions updated, scan logs clean, no malwarealerts
UPS Power: Check server room temp, UPS load, battery status, DG auto-start test
Monthly/Quarterly Tasks
User Management: Create/disable AD users, review admin rights with IT Manager
Disk Cleanup: Clear logs, temp files, archive old data to maintain >20% free space
PM with AMC: Coordinate vendor for server PM, replace parts under warranty/AMC
DR Drill: Test backup restore, document RTO/RPO with Manager
Firmware: Update iLO/iDRAC, RAID controller, BIOS during planned shutdown
