Desktop Engineer L2
- Role : Sr. Desktop Engineer
- Reporting to : Lead – IT Infra
- Place of Posting : Mumbai
- Experience : 3-5 years
Key Accountabilities :
- Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer or similar role.
- Address user tickets regarding hardware, software and networking.
- Walk customers through installing applications and computer peripherals
- Working knowledge of office products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners.
- Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
- Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue
- Record technical issues and solutions in logs
- Help create technical documentation and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.
- Experience AV/video conferencing solutions
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office, Patch Management, Anti-Malware, anti-virus and inventory management tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, troubleshoot and solve technology issues (both remotely and on-site) received via email, phone and in-person.
- Test and deploy hardware and software solutions. Manage end-user technology projects, such as migrations, deployments and introducing new technology solutions.
- Identify issues, propose solutions, and test new technologies or process changes.
- Track and thoroughly detail technology issues through ticketing system.
- Proactively reach out to customers about their technology needs and address issues before they occur.
- Provide administration for various technology platforms in MDM, messaging, collaboration or MFA platforms.
- Advanced working knowledge of configuring and trouble-shooting iOS and Android based mobile devices.
- Deploy applications individually and with client management tools
- Experience administering Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy.
- Installing and upgrading operating systems and computer software.
- Ensuring SLAs are met.
- Documentation and Record Keeping.
- Scheduling upgrades and maintaining them without interference.
- System backup and data recovery planning.
- Network troubleshooting and optimization.
- You may be required to work outside of normal business hours, including occasional holidays, evenings, and weekends.
