We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Placement Officer – IT Sector to build strong corporate relationships and drive successful placements for our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with IT companies, software firms, startups, product companies, MNCs, and technology recruiters.
- Generate placement opportunities for students through continuous corporate outreach.
- Coordinate campus recruitment drives, walk-in interviews, virtual hiring events, and placement activities.
- Build long-term partnerships with HR professionals, Talent Acquisition teams, and hiring managers.
- Identify new hiring companies and expand Pumo Technovation's recruiter network.
- Understand current hiring trends and align student placement strategies accordingly.
- Coordinate with trainers to ensure students are interview-ready and meet industry expectations.
- Organize mock interviews, aptitude assessments, resume-building sessions, and soft skills programs.
- Track placement statistics and prepare periodic placement reports.
- Ensure smooth communication between students, recruiters, and internal departments throughout the hiring process.
- Represent Pumo Technovation professionally during corporate meetings, networking events, and industry interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in any discipline (MBA/HR preferred).
- 2–5+ years of experience in campus placements, corporate relations, recruitment, business development, or talent acquisition.
- Proven experience in establishing partnerships with IT companies, software organizations, technology startups, and recruitment firms.
- Existing network of HR professionals and IT recruiters will be a significant advantage.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English/Hindi (Mandatory).
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.
- Proven expertise in connecting with IT companies and generating placement opportunities.
- Ability to confidently communicate with HR Heads, Talent Acquisition Managers, and senior corporate stakeholders.
- Strong networking and corporate outreach capabilities.
- Good understanding of current IT hiring trends and recruitment processes.
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and achieve placement targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, LinkedIn, job portals, and CRM tools.

- Existing professional network within the IT industry.
- Experience working with engineering colleges, training institutes, universities, or placement cells.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and proactive in building corporate partnerships.
