Job Description – BBS Engineer / Rebar Quantity & Certification Engineer
Position: BBS Engineer / Rebar Quantity & Certification Engineer
Experience: 2+ Years Preferred
Location: Mumbai / Project Site
Industry: Construction / Infrastructure / Civil Engineering
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) as per GFC / IFC structural drawings.
- Quantity estimation and reconciliation of reinforcement steel.
- Preparation of cutting length calculations and bend deductions.
- Coordination with site execution team, consultants, and client representatives.
- Preparation and submission of steel consumption reports and reconciliation statements.
- Handling client certification and measurement approvals.
- Verification of reinforcement quantities before billing and execution.
- Preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports related to rebar activities.
- Monitoring steel wastage and maintaining proper records.
- Knowledge of coupler quantity calculations and reconciliation will be preferred.
- Ensuring work is completed as per project specifications and standards.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of reinforcement detailing and BBS preparation.
- Good knowledge of BBS software/programs and structural drawings.
- Ability to read and understand RCC and reinforcement drawings independently.
- Experience in client certification and quantity approval process.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of reinforcement codes and standards.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently at project site.
Qualification:
- Diploma / BE Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Preferred Candidate:
- Candidate having experience in high-rise, infrastructure, metro, or industrial projects will be preferred.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
