Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Material Recovery Facility (MRF). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient waste processing, maximizing recyclable material recovery, managing plant operations, leading operational teams, maintaining safety and environmental compliance, and driving continuous improvements in productivity and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage overall MRF operations, including waste receipt, segregation, processing, baling, storage, and dispatch.
· Ensure achievement of production, recovery, and quality targets.
· Lead and supervise plant supervisors, operators, and contract workforce.
· Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.
· Optimize manpower, plant utilization, and operational costs.
· Ensure compliance with HSE standards, statutory regulations, and company SOPs.
· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS and operational performance reports.
· Coordinate with municipal authorities, transporters, recyclers, and other stakeholders.
· Drive process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
Desired Candidate Profile
· 5-10 years of experience in MRF, municipal solid waste (MSW), recycling, waste processing, or industrial plant operations.
· Proven experience in managing plant operations and multidisciplinary teams.
· Strong knowledge of recycling processes, waste segregation, plant maintenance, and logistics.
· Excellent leadership, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficient in MS Office and ERP/MIS reporting.
