Job Description:
We are looking for Hospital Outpatient (OP) Coders with strong experience in Surgical Coding and Denials Management. The ideal candidates should have solid knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, and a proven ability to handle hospital outpatient surgery coding and related denial issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes for hospital outpatient surgery encounters.
- Work on surgical coding and denial resolution to minimize claim rejections.
- Ensure adherence to AAPC/AHIMA and compliance standards.
- Meet daily/weekly coding productivity and quality benchmarks.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in hospital OP coding, specifically surgical coding.
- Experience with ED (Emergency Department) coding is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of denials management and resolution.
- Good understanding of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II coding systems.
- Certification preferred: CPC, CCS, or equivalent (AAPC/AHIMA).
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
