Job Title : Facilities Engineer -Mechanical Design

Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop piping layouts, plot plans, and equipment arrangement drawings as per project and industry standards.
- Perform 3D modeling of piping systems using engineering design software.
- Ensure piping designs comply with P&IDs, process requirements, safety standards, and engineering specifications.
- Conduct piping routing studies considering operability, maintainability, accessibility, and constructability.
- Prepare and review General Arrangement (GA) drawings, piping layouts, and isometric drawings.
- Participate in 3D model reviews, HAZOP studies, and constructability reviews with stakeholders.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve design issues and review comments.
- Ensure adherence to mechanical design standards, codes, and engineering best practices.
- Perform quality checks and verification of engineering deliverables before release.
- Support project execution, design modifications, and engineering documentation management.
- Identify design improvements to enhance safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical support during engineering, construction, and commissioning phases.
Requisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of piping design, equipment layout, and plant engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience with 3D design tools such as AVEVA E3D, PDMS, SmartPlant 3D, or equivalent.
- Good understanding of P&IDs, piping specifications, and mechanical engineering standards.
- Knowledge of piping routing, constructability, and plant layout design.
- Familiarity with HAZOP, safety reviews, and risk-based engineering practices.
- Experience in preparing GA drawings, isometric drawings, and piping layouts.
- Understanding of industrial facility, refinery, petrochemical, or oil & gas projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical review capabilities.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
- Strong focus on quality, compliance, and engineering documentation.
