Job Summary
The Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment within the hotel. The role ensures uninterrupted electrical operations while maintaining safety standards, minimizing downtime, and providing prompt support to all departments and guest areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems, panels, wiring, lighting fixtures, and equipment.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical faults in guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and service areas.
- Maintain power distribution systems, circuit breakers, switchboards, transformers, and control panels.
- Install and replace electrical fixtures, switches, sockets, lighting, and other electrical components as required.
- Monitor the operation of generators, UPS systems, emergency lighting, and other backup power equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency electrical breakdowns.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with hotel policies, local electrical codes, and safety regulations.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment performance.
- Assist with energy conservation initiatives and recommend methods to improve energy efficiency.
- Coordinate with external contractors during major repairs or installation projects.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the engineering workshop and electrical equipment rooms.
- Support other engineering and maintenance activities as assigned by the Chief Engineer.
Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Electrician Trade or Electrical Engineering.
- Valid electrical license/certification (if required by local regulations).
- 2–5 years of experience in hotel, hospitality, commercial building, or facility maintenance.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, panels, motors, and controls.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and preventive maintenance practices.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer knowledge for maintenance reporting is an advantage.
Working Conditions
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends, holidays, and night duties.
- Ability to respond to emergency maintenance calls.
- Capable of lifting equipment and working at heights when required.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
