Job Purpose
To ensure the safe, reliable and uninterrupted operation of electrical systems and equipment in the Non-Food Division by effectively managing preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, electrical safety, energy management and electrical projects.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Electrical Maintenance
- Maintain and monitor all electrical systems, machinery and equipment in the plant.
- Handle HT/LT panels, MCC, PCC, transformers, motors, VFDs, APFC panels, DG sets, UPS and electrical distribution systems.
- Attend electrical breakdowns and ensure quick restoration of equipment.
- Identify recurring electrical problems and implement corrective actions.
2. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Prepare and execute daily, weekly, monthly and annual preventive maintenance schedules.
- Conduct regular inspection of motors, panels, cables, transformers and other electrical equipment.
- Maintain equipment history and preventive maintenance records.
- Ensure minimum breakdown and maximum equipment availability.
3. Production & Machinery Support
- Provide electrical support to the Production Department.
- Troubleshoot motors, starters, VFDs, sensors, control panels and machine wiring.
- Coordinate with Mechanical and Production teams during breakdowns and maintenance activities.
- Support installation and commissioning of new machinery.
4. Electrical Safety
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures.
- Implement LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), Permit-to-Work and electrical isolation procedures.
- Ensure proper earthing, electrical protection and safety interlocks.
- Conduct periodic electrical safety inspections and rectify unsafe conditions immediately.
5. Power & Energy Management
- Monitor daily power consumption and maximum demand.
- Monitor and maintain the required power factor.
- Ensure proper functioning of APFC/capacitor banks.
- Identify opportunities for energy conservation and cost reduction.
6. DG & Utility Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain DG sets, UPS, pumps, compressors and other electrical utility equipment.
- Maintain DG running-hour, fuel and maintenance records.
- Ensure availability of emergency power supply.
7. Projects & Installation
- Support electrical installation and commissioning of new equipment and projects.
- Review electrical drawings, SLDs and load requirements.
- Coordinate with electrical contractors and equipment suppliers.
- Ensure proper quality and safety during electrical installation.
8. Spare Parts Management
- Identify and maintain critical electrical spare parts.
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase for timely availability of spares.
- Maintain minimum stock levels for critical components.
- Monitor spare consumption and replacement requirements.
9. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain electrical breakdown reports and maintenance records.
- Prepare daily/monthly electrical maintenance reports.
- Maintain DG logbooks and energy consumption records.
- Maintain electrical drawings, equipment history and inspection reports.
10. Team & Contractor Management
- Supervise electricians and electrical technicians.
- Allocate daily maintenance activities and monitor completion.
- Guide technicians in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Monitor electrical contractors and ensure compliance with company safety standards.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
