Looking for an Interior Designer specializing in production planning bridges the gap between creative design concepts and the technical execution of projects. They focus on turning blueprints and aesthetic ideas into actionable production documents, managing resources, and optimizing the timeline for manufacturing based on quality parameters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning & Scheduling: Define project requirements, establish timelines for design deliverables, and coordinate project phases from conceptual development to final Goods.
- Technical Documentation & Specifications: Generate detailed CAD drawings (2D/3D), millwork drawings, floor plans, and elevation details required by manufacturers.
- Internal Coordination: Coordinate with carpenters, painters, upholster, and design team to implement design with the technical detailing and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Quality Control & Site Supervision: Conduct site visits, check shop drawings, and review manufactured furniture prototypes to ensure they match approved designs.
- Change Management: Manage RFI (Request for Information) processes and adjust design documents for any changes during construction to avoid production delays. Society of British & International Interior Design +10
Required Skills
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D Max, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction methods, millwork detailing, FF&E production, and building/ADA codes.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communication: Ability to communicate technical requirements to fabrication teams and present design concepts to clients.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional accuracy in producing technical documentation to reduce errors during construction.
