Job Overview
We are looking for an Investment Analyst to support investment decisions across public and private markets. The role involves investment research, financial analysis, valuation, financial modelling, due diligence and portfolio monitoring.
The ideal candidate should have exposure to PE, VC, AIF, private/unlisted investments, equity research or investment banking and be able to independently analyse businesses and present investment recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse listed and unlisted companies and investment opportunities.
- Evaluate PE, VC, growth-stage and startup investments.
- Build financial and valuation models using DCF, comparable companies and transaction multiples.
- Prepare investment theses, projections and return expectations.
- Conduct financial, commercial and operational due diligence.
- Analyse industry, sector, macroeconomic and competitive trends.
- Monitor portfolio performance, returns and key investment metrics.
- Support portfolio allocation, capital deployment and rebalancing decisions.
- Analyse treasury, cash flows and liquidity requirements.
- Coordinate with Finance & Accounts teams on investment-related information.
- Interact with fund managers, founders, VCs, investment bankers and promoters.
- Present investment findings and recommendations to senior management/investment committees.
Requirements
- CA / CFA / MBA (Finance) preferred.
- CA Inter / CA Final candidates may also be considered based on relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics or related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Investment Analysis, Investment Management, PE, VC, AIF, Equity Research, Financial Advisory or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, valuation and corporate finance.
- Hands-on experience with financial modelling and Advanced Excel.
- Strong understanding of DCF, comparable company analysis, transaction comparables and sensitivity analysis.
- Exposure to equity markets, mutual funds, PMS, AIF and private/unlisted investments.
Preferred Background
Candidates from AIFs, Investment Funds, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Growth Capital, Investment Banking, Equity Research or Financial Advisory backgrounds will be preferred.
