Job Summary: As a cashier in our hospitality establishment, you will be responsible for processing all transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will ensure a positive guest experience through friendly interaction and prompt service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and direct them to their desired products or services.
- Provide information on prices, discounts, and special promotions.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
Transaction Processing:
- Operate electronic cash registers and POS systems to process payments.
- Ensure accurate pricing of all items through scanning or manual entry.
- Calculate total payments received during transactions and reconcile with total sales.
Cash Handling:
- Receive payments in cash, credit, or debit cards and issue receipts.
- Ensure proper handling of cash and secure payments according to company policies.
- Count cash in the register at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure amounts are correct and report any discrepancies.
Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and daily financial activities.
- Prepare daily reconciliation reports and submit them to the accounting department.
- Assist in inventory management by recording stock levels and notifying management of low inventory.
Team Collaboration:
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of customer service and transactions.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to resolve issues and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cashier in a hospitality environment or similar role.
- Proficient in using electronic cash registers and POS systems.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification is a plus.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
