Your impact
The Senior Designer - Process is responsible for developing and delivering process design deliverables for engineering projects in the oil & gas, chemicals, petrochemicals, energy, and industrial sectors. The role involves preparing process design documents, supporting multidisciplinary coordination, and ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and client specifications.
Prepare and review process engineering deliverables including:
Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs)
Process Design Basis documents
Line Lists and Tie-in Lists
Cause & Effect Diagrams
Develop process layouts and support plant design activities.
Coordinate closely with Process Engineers and other engineering disciplines.
Incorporate comments from project teams, clients, and consultants into design documents.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.
Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, constructability, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings.
Maintain project documentation and revision control requirements.
Support project execution within schedule and quality requirements.
Here's what you'll need
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline.
8-15 years of experience in process design for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Chemical, or Energy projects.
Strong understanding of process engineering fundamentals and plant design principles.
Experience in preparing and updating process design deliverables.
Familiarity with engineering standards and industry codes.
Proficient in AutoCAD and SmartPlant P&ID (SPPID) or equivalent tools.
Knowledge of SmartPlant suite, AVEVA, or other engineering design software will be an advantage.
Experience with document management systems and engineering workflows.
Good understanding of process plant operations and safety requirements.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
