Job Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the showroom sales team, achieving vehicle sales targets, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with Maruti Suzuki sales processes and dealership standards. The role involves planning sales activities, monitoring team performance, managing customer relationships, and driving business growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual vehicle sales targets.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase showroom and retail sales.
- Monitor daily inquiries, bookings, retail deliveries, and conversion ratios.
- Identify new business opportunities, corporate sales, and fleet sales prospects.
- Conduct market surveys and competitor analysis.
Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and supervise Sales Consultants and Team Leaders.
- Allocate sales targets and monitor individual performance.
- Conduct regular sales meetings and performance reviews.
- Train and coach team members on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer handling.
Customer Relationship Management
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
- Address customer complaints and resolve escalated issues promptly.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvement measures.
- Ensure timely follow-up of leads and inquiries.
Process & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Maruti Suzuki sales standards and dealership policies.
- Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and documentation.
- Coordinate with finance, insurance, registration, and delivery teams for smooth vehicle delivery.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements.
Marketing & Promotion
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns, events, and roadshows.
- Coordinate local marketing activities to generate leads.
- Build relationships with corporate clients and local business communities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or related field.
- MBA in Marketing is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of automobile sales experience.
- At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role within an automobile dealership.
- Experience in Maruti Suzuki dealership operations is preferred.
