Job Title: Senior MEP Engineer / MEP Lead

Role Overview
The Senior MEP Engineer will lead the planning, design, coordination, and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across large-scale real estate projects. This role requires deep technical expertise, cross-functional coordination, and leadership in delivering high-quality, cost-effective, and compliant building services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Design Oversight
- Review and approve MEP designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure alignment with project requirements, local codes, and international standards.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and consultants for integrated design solutions.
- Value engineering to optimize cost without compromising quality.
2. Execution & Site Management
- Lead on-site MEP execution for residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
- Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety norms.
- Resolve technical issues and site challenges proactively.
3. Contractor & Vendor Management
- Evaluate and onboard MEP contractors, consultants, and vendors.
- Review BOQs, tenders, and contracts related to MEP scope.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with specifications.
4. Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the central point of contact for all MEP-related matters.
- Conduct regular coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies for approvals.
5. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Implement QA/QC procedures for MEP works.
- Ensure compliance with NBC, IS codes, fire safety norms, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and snagging activities.
6. Testing & Commissioning
- Supervise testing & commissioning of HVAC, electrical, fire fighting, plumbing, and ELV systems.
- Ensure proper documentation, handover, and O&M manuals.
7. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Prepare and monitor MEP budgets.
- Track costs and implement cost-control measures.
- Approve invoices and variations related to MEP works.
8. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of MEP engineers and supervisors.
- Provide technical guidance and training.
- Ensure team productivity and performance management.
Key Systems Expertise Required
- HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning)
- Electrical systems (HT/LT, DG, UPS, lighting)
- Plumbing & drainage systems
- Fire protection & fire alarm systems
- ELV systems (CCTV, access control, BMS)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (mandatory)
- Master’s degree (preferred but not mandatory)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, IGBC) are a plus
