*Role Purpose
The Project Manager is Molethu's single point of accountability at the Sunstar Precision Forge site. The role owns overall delivery of the PMC mandate — programme, cost, quality and client relationship — and is the primary interface between the client, the Molethu HO, and all site-level contractors and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
● Own overall project delivery against the 8-month programme for civil, structure and finishing works.
● Act as the single point of contact for Mr. Prasann Kumar and the Sunstar team on all project matters.
● Chair weekly site progress meetings and ensure Minutes of Meeting (MOM) are circulated within 24 hours.
● Review and approve the daily progress reports compiled by the Site Engineer before client circulation.
● Drive contractor coordination — work order issuance, sequencing, and resolution of site-level conflicts.
● Oversee RA bill certification and extra-item verification prepared by the Billing Engineer before client submission.
● Monitor overall budget performance against the approved project cost and flag variances early.
● Lead punch-list closure, as-built drawing compilation, and structured handover to Sunstar's operations team at completion.
● Escalate risks, delays, or scope issues to Molethu HO and the client promptly, with a recommended course of action.
● Remain deployed for one additional month beyond the 8-month construction period for billing and financial closure.
● Liaise with the HO-based Project Coordinator, who monitors project progress and audits RA bills centrally.
Qualifications & Experience
● B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
● 14–15 years of experience in construction project management, with prior exposure to factory/industrial builds preferred.
● Demonstrated ability to run a multi-contractor site independently with minimal HO supervision.
● Strong client-facing communication and commercial/contract awareness (RA bills, variations, work orders).
