Resident Medical Officer (RMO) – Job Description Job Summary
The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) is responsible for delivering round-the-clock medical care, managing patient treatment, responding to emergencies, and supporting consultants to ensure high-quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary medical care in the Emergency Department (ED)
- Assess, diagnose, and manage acute emergency cases
- Perform life-saving procedures (CPR, airway management, stabilization)
- Triage patients and prioritize treatment based on severity
- Prescribe medications and order urgent investigations
- Maintain accurate emergency records and coordinate with medical teams
Qualifications:
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution
- Completion of internship
- Valid Medical registration
Skills Required :
- Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure in emergency situations
- Teamwork and coordination skills
- Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Work Timings:
- Shift 1: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Shift 2: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
