A Solutions Engineer at Beans.ai bridges the gap between customer needs, product capabilities, and technical implementation. They work closely with US based Customers, Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to understand customer workflows, design practical solutions, support technical evaluations, and ensure successful implementation of Beans.ai products across different use cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Discovery & Solution Design: Work with prospects and customers to understand operational workflows, technical requirements, pain points, and desired outcomes, and translate them into solution recommendations.
- Pre-Sales Technical Support: Partner with Sales during demos, technical discussions, pilots, and proof-of-concepts to explain product capabilities, integration options, and implementation requirements.
- Implementation Support: Assist with onboarding, configuration, account setup, data validation, integrations, and technical handoff to ensure smooth customer go-live.
- Product & Workflow Expertise: Develop strong understanding of Beans.ai products across business lines, and help tailor solutions based on customer segment.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Investigate customer-reported issues, validate expected behavior, gather logs/data where needed, and coordinate with Product and Engineering teams for resolution.
- Integration & Data Support: Support API-based, system integration, and data-driven implementation workflows, including reviewing customer data, identifying gaps, and ensuring technical readiness.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to ensure customer requirements are clearly captured, prioritized, and delivered.
- Documentation & Process Improvement: Create internal and customer-facing documentation, implementation notes, FAQs, and repeatable workflows to improve sales-to-implementation efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of APIs, integrations, SaaS platforms, SQL, and basic troubleshooting tools. Familiarity with Python, Postman, or BI tools is a plus.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers, Sales, CS, and Engineering teams.
- Problem Solving: Strong ability to diagnose business and technical issues, structure ambiguous problems, and recommend practical solutions.
- Business Acumen: Ability to connect technical solutions to customer value, operational efficiency, revenue impact, and implementation success.
- Project & Execution Orientation: Comfortable managing multiple customer requests, pilots, implementation tasks, and internal follow-ups in a fast-moving environment.
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Typically requires 1–3+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, Product Operations, Implementation, or similar roles.
