Job Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated High School Math Teacher to educate students in grades 9 & 10 for IIT Foundation. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous instruction in a variety of math subjects, preparing students for standardized exams and higher education. The ideal candidate is passionate about mathematics, student success, and continuous professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
● Deliver Math lessons to students in grades 9 & 10 IIT Foundation.
● Prepare, plan, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum and educational standards.
● Assess students’ progress through formative and summative assessments
● Create a positive and conducive learning environment.
● Teach high school-level mathematics courses, which may include Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, and/or other advanced math electives.
● Use a variety of teaching methods and instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
● Provide constructive feedback and support to students for academic improvement.
● Develop and maintain effective classroom management strategies.
● Organize and participate in school activities - academic and beyond academic, events, and meetings.
● Incorporate multimedia, technology, and modern teaching methods to make learning engaging.
● Provide mentorship and guidance to students regarding their academic and excel in board exams
● Conduct 1 hr study session(s) after school hours for Grade 10 students(twice a week)
● Train students to participate in state, national and international competitions. Ex: Maths
Olympiad
● Maintain accurate records of students' performance, attendance, and behavior.
● Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to ensure the success of students.
● Assess and monitor student progress through regular quizzes, tests, projects, and homework assignments.
● Stay updated with the latest trends and methodologies in teaching Math.
● Understand the systems of the school and adapt accordingly
● Make use of the professional development opportunities effectively and contribute efficiently during subject meetings to upgrade Math proficiency in students.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
● B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is required.
● Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the high school level preferred.
● Strong knowledge of high school math curriculum and pedagogy.
● Proficient in integrating technology into the classroom (e.g., calculators, graphing software, learning platforms).
● Proficiency in using educational technology tools for teaching.
● Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
● Passionate about teaching and helping students succeed.
● Ability to motivate and inspire students.
Preferred Skills:
● Experience with CBSE/ICSE/IGCSE curriculum
● Knowledge of the latest developments in Math education.
● Commitment to fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
● Enthusiastic, flexible, and a team player with a student-centered approach.
