Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Attendant to join our team in Mumbai. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily care, feeding, cleaning, and monitoring of dogs housed in the kennel facility. This role requires a genuine love for animals, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a physically active environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Feed dogs according to prescribed schedules and dietary requirements.
- Ensure dogs have access to clean water at all times.
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, feeding bowls, and exercise areas.
- Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any signs of illness, injury, or distress to supervisors.
- Assist with bathing, grooming, and basic animal care activities.
- Exercise and walk dogs as per kennel guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility.
- Assist veterinarians, trainers, or supervisors when required.
- Handle animals safely and humanely.
- Maintain accurate records of feeding, medication, and daily activities.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification: High School / Secondary School Certificate.
- Previous experience in animal care, pet boarding, veterinary clinics, or kennels is preferred but not mandatory.
- Comfortable working with dogs of various breeds and sizes.
- Physically fit and able to stand, walk, lift, and perform cleaning duties.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts if required.
- Passion for animal welfare and care.
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of dog behavior and handling.
- Experience in pet grooming or animal care.
- Ability to identify common signs of illness or stress in animals.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
