Position Overview
Indovance is looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Subject Matter Expert (SME) who will act as a domain authority, technical coach, and quality champion across projects and teams.
The SME will play a critical role in:
- Ensuring best-in-class technical quality
- Driving process excellence and operational efficiency
- Supporting Trial Period (TP) success
- Participating in customer discovery discussions
- Preventing customer dissatisfaction due to skill gaps**
This role demands a technically strong, accountable, and extroverted professional with a passion for teaching and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities
1. Domain Leadership & Technical Excellence
- Act as the domain expert for assigned discipline.
- Define and benchmark best-in-class quality standards.
- Challenge teams to raise technical depth and accuracy.
- Review complex designs, calculations, and deliverables.
- Ensure zero technical compromise in customer submissions.

2. Coaching & Capability Building
- Mentor and coach engineers to elevate technical capability.
- Develop structured learning paths for different experience levels.
- Create training modules, SOPs, and technical videos.
- Conduct internal knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops.
- Build second-line technical strength within the team.

3. Process Improvement & Efficiency
- Identify bottlenecks impacting productivity and quality.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Standardize best practices and templates.
- Drive automation and smarter workflows where applicable.
- Improve turnaround time without compromising quality.

4. Customer Engagement & Discovery
- Participate in discovery meetings with customers.
- Provide technical insights during pre-sales and proposal stages.
- Support technical proposal preparation and validation.
- Translate customer requirements into clear execution strategies.
- Ensure commitments made to customers are realistic and achievable.

5. Ownership & Accountability
o Trial Period (TP) success.
o Zero loss of customers due to skill gaps.
o No TP losses due to weak technical positioning.
- Ensure delivery commitments are met in terms of:
o Quality
o Timeline
o Technical integrity
- Proactively flag risks and implement corrective actions.

6. Operational Excellence
- Ensure ongoing operational stability in live projects.
- Conduct periodic technical audits.
- Maintain quality consistency across accounts.
- Work closely with Delivery, Relationship Managers, and QA teams.

Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in relevant engineering discipline.
- 10+ years of strong hands-on domain experience.
- Prior experience in mentoring, reviewing, or leading technical teams.
- Experience in customer-facing roles preferred.
- Strong exposure to international engineering standards preferred
