As a Senior Engineer – Desktop Engineering & Support, you will be part of a dynamic regional team responsible for the design, engineering, implementation, migration, and operational security of enterprise workspace technology services across APAC. You will lead end‑to‑end desktop engineering initiatives, ensuring secure, seamless, and highly available environments while driving continuous improvement and compliance in a regulated banking context.
What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed
Desktop Engineering & Support

Act as the escalation contact for endpoint issues (OS, software, hardware, performance, crash) within the Microsoft ecosystem.

Deliver rapid resolution to advanced endpoint challenges, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems.

Respond to cyber threats from a workspace technology perspective, coordinating with stakeholders and educating local IT teams.

Propose and implement improvements to enhance user experience.

Drive enablement across end‑users, Service Desk, and IT teams through training, KB articles, and knowledge sharing.
Documentation & Standards

Create and maintain policies, standards, product/feature implementation guides, and procedure manuals.

Maintain an audit‑ready environment by identifying configuration drift early.

Design frameworks and standards for end‑to‑end desktop engineering services.
Continuous Improvement
-
Drive automation and user experience enhancements.

Work closely with Service Desk and Branch IT teams to improve first‑call resolution.

Engineer patching and update strategies (deployment rings, pilot groups, rollback planning).

Support print infrastructure, physical and virtualised workstations, and VDIs.

Experience

You have 8–10 years of deep expertise in Windows 11 desktop platform design, architecture, and engineering.

You have proven experience defining engineering standards and frameworks for desktop engineering.

You have designed and maintained enterprise gold images and OS build engineering (task sequences, Autopilot profiles, provisioning).

You have experience with SCCM/MECM, Intune, Azure Hybrid AD join, and autopilot deployments.

You have supported ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
Technical Expertise

You are proficient in Windows 11 features, including BitLocker, MS Edge, Enterprise Chrome, antivirus, and other security products.

You have strong knowledge of Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy Objects (GPO).

You are experienced in supporting both physical and virtualised workstations, including VDIs.

You have expertise in designing patching and update strategies (deployment rings, pilot groups, rollback planning).

You are skilled in application deployment and self‑service through SCCM/MECM or similar technologies.

You have experience handling ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or equivalent platforms.

You are adept at troubleshooting and problem‑solving, with strong analytical skills.

You have excellent communication skills and the ability to document policies, standards, user guides, admin guides, and SOPs clearly.
