We are seeking a detail-oriented Soldering Technician to support our electronics manufacturing and prototyping activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in PCB assembly, SMD and through-hole soldering, and electronic component handling. The role involves assembling, repairing, and inspecting electronic boards to ensure high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform precision soldering and desoldering of electronic components on PCBs.
- Assemble SMD and through-hole components according to technical drawings and work instructions.
- Conduct visual inspection of solder joints to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform PCB rework and troubleshooting when required.
- Use tools such as soldering stations, hot air rework stations, microscopes, and multimeters.
- Follow ESD safety guidelines while handling sensitive electronic components.
- Assist engineering teams in prototype PCB assembly and testing.
- Maintain proper documentation of assembly and repair activities.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in manual PCB soldering.
- Familiarity with SMD packages (0402, 0603, QFN, SOIC, etc.) and through-hole components.
- Ability to identify and correct soldering defects such as bridges, cold joints, and dry joints.
- Knowledge of basic electronic components and PCB layout.
- Understanding of ESD protection practices.
- Good attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Qualifications:
- ITI / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in electronics assembly, PCB soldering, or repair work.
- Experience in industrial electronics, embedded systems, or automation products will be an advantage.
