Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Landscaping Intern to support our landscape design and project execution team. This internship offers hands-on experience in landscape planning, planting, site development, maintenance practices, and project coordination. The role is ideal for students or recent graduates passionate about sustainable outdoor spaces and landscape design.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, designing, and executing landscape projects.
- Support site surveys, measurements, and documentation.
- Help prepare planting plans, landscape layouts, and concept presentations.
- Assist in selecting suitable plants, trees, shrubs, and landscape materials based on project requirements.
- Monitor planting, irrigation, hardscape, and softscape installation activities.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards and project specifications are met.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project teams during project execution.
- Assist in preparing material estimates, project reports, and progress updates.
- Support maintenance planning for landscaped areas, including irrigation, pruning, fertilization, and plant health monitoring.
- Stay updated on sustainable landscaping practices and recommend environmentally friendly solutions.
- Perform other landscape and project-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Agriculture, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of landscape design principles and horticulture.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other design software is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Strong observational, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of plant species, irrigation systems, and landscape materials.
- Basic understanding of landscape construction and maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with sustainable landscaping and water-efficient design principles.
- Ability to read landscape drawings and site plans.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning.
