Role Summary
We are seeking an energetic, proactive, and target-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our doctor referral network, community outreach, and patient acquisition strategies across Chennai.
The primary objective of this role is to build strong professional relationships with physicians and specialists across Chennai (General Practitioners, Diabetologists, Physicians, Pediatricians, etc.), increasing patient flow to Jaya Eye Care Centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Doctor Network Expansion & Engagement:
- Actively meet doctors, clinics, and specialists across various medical fields in Chennai to introduce Jaya Eye Care Centre’s advanced facilities and surgical expertise.
- Establish, nurture, and maintain long-term doctor referral networks to drive patient referrals for secondary and tertiary ophthalmic care (e.g., Cataract, LASIK, Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma).
- Field Operations & Travel:
- Daily field visits across different zones in Chennai for face-to-face meetings with healthcare practitioners, clinics, and community stakeholders.
- Community Outreach & Camps:
- Coordinate and conduct vision screening camps, corporate eye wellness programs, and community health initiatives to boost brand awareness and patient footfalls.
- Market Intelligence & Strategy:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and referral patterns in Chennai to suggest strategic growth opportunities to management.
Eligibility Criteria & Mandatory Requirements
- Experience: 1 to 5 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, or Medical Representation. Candidates with prior experience in hospitals, clinics, or pharmaceutical sales will be given top priority.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Tamil are compulsory.
- Location & Travel:
- Must be a current resident of Chennai.
- Must own a personal two-wheeler/vehicle with a valid driving license for daily local travel.
- High willingness to travel across Chennai daily.
- Learning Agility: Must be a fast learner capable of quickly understanding eye care specialties, surgical procedures, and medical terminology.
