Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced OT Technician to join our healthcare team in Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad. The ideal candidate should have 2–4 years of experience in Operation Theatre procedures and be willing to work in rotational shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the Operation Theatre before and after surgical procedures.
- Ensure all surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables are available and ready for use.
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and OT nurses during surgical procedures.
- Arrange and maintain surgical instruments and equipment according to the requirements of each procedure.
- Assist with scrubbing, circulating, and other OT activities as required.
- Maintain strict sterile and aseptic techniques during surgical procedures.
- Handle and maintain OT equipment properly and report any equipment malfunction.
- Assist in patient preparation and positioning as instructed by the surgical team.
- Ensure proper sterilization, disinfection, and safe handling of surgical instruments.
- Support the anesthesia team by preparing and arranging required equipment and supplies.
- Maintain proper OT records, checklists, and documentation.
- Follow hospital infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste according to hospital guidelines.
- Maintain adequate stock of surgical supplies and consumables.
- Coordinate with the nursing and surgical teams to ensure smooth OT operations.
- Assist in cleaning and preparing the OT after completion of procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- DOTT (Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology) or BOTT (Bachelor of Operation Theatre Technology) qualification.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience as an OT Technician.
- Previous experience in a hospital Operation Theatre is preferred.
- Good knowledge of surgical instruments, OT procedures, sterilization, and infection control.
- Ability to work effectively in rotational shifts.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding healthcare environment.
