About the Role
Signant Health has embarked on an Enterprise IT application improvement strategy to “Enable Your Best Work”. We’re currently searching for a Manager of IT Enterprise Solutions to work as part of the IT team.
The Applications Manager’s role is to supervise and maintain the organization’s repository of software applications through best practices and the appropriate staffing and management of a technical team. The Applications Manager is also responsible for planning and coordinating the processes required for the provision of user applications and systems necessary for business operations. This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the team on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.
What you will do
1. Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
2. Review and analyze existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
3. Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices.
4. Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications.
5. Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
6. Coordinate feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and give advice based on findings.
7. Evaluate business requirements and solution proposals in order to identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations.
8. Manage and provide direction for the application team in support of business operations.
9. Compile and maintain inventory of company software and systems assets and their corresponding contracts/agreements.
10. Develop and communicate training and documentation for end users, hold clinics as necessary, and other user-related activities.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer systems design or computer science, or knowledge acquired through equivalent experience.
2. 8 years direct experience managing applications and/or systems management.
3. Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions, including application architecture.
4. Direct, hands-on experience with automated software management tools.
5. Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
6. Extensive experience with core software applications, including Jira, Box, MS Teams.
7. Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.
8. Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
9. Willingness to facilitate and/or challenge decisions within or across teams leading to a collaborative outcome/plan.

6. Take the lead in continuous business improvement by regularly advising IT management of improvements to applications, services, and processes that enhances efficiency, scalability and/or security.
7. Coach and encourage application team about the potential use of technologies that bring additional value to the business units.
