Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities with hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centres, nursing homes, and healthcare institutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, surgeons, hospital administrators, purchase/procurement teams, biomedical engineers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions for prospective customers.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate medical device solutions.
- Generate leads through field visits, referrals, networking, conferences, exhibitions, and market research.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation and follow-up to negotiation, order closure, and post-sales support.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, sales presentations, and other commercial documents.
- Follow up regularly with prospects and existing customers to ensure business conversion and repeat orders.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, market trends, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams for product delivery, installation, training, and after-sales support.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts.
- Submit regular sales reports and provide market feedback to the management.
- Ensure all sales activities are conducted professionally and in accordance with applicable company and healthcare regulations.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate in B.Sc., B.Pharm, B.Tech/B.E., Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in medical device, healthcare, diagnostic, pharma, or hospital sales preferred.
- Strong understanding of hospital sales and healthcare customer requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Ability to understand and explain technical product features and clinical applications.
- Target-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a field-sales environment.
- Strong relationship-building and customer-handling abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and CRM/sales reporting tools.
