The Procurement Officer – Used Car Department is responsible for sourcing and purchasing quality pre-owned vehicles from individuals, dealers, and corporate clients. The role involves vehicle evaluation, price negotiation, vendor management, and maintaining adequate used car inventory to support dealership sales operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Sourcing
- Identify and procure used vehicles from individual customers, dealers, fleet owners, and online platforms.
- Build a network of vehicle suppliers, brokers, and corporate clients.
- Generate leads for used car procurement through field visits and market connections.
- Vehicle Evaluation
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical condition, body condition, and documentation.
- Assess vehicle value based on market demand, model, mileage, and condition.
- Coordinate with technical team for detailed inspection if required.
- Price Negotiation
- Negotiate purchase prices with sellers to ensure profitable resale margins.
- Compare market prices and competitor rates before finalizing deals.
- Inventory Management
- Maintain an adequate stock of quality used cars as per sales demand.
- Track vehicle procurement pipeline and stock movement.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure proper RC transfer, insurance, NOC, hypothecation closure, and legal documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions.
- Market Analysis
- Monitor used car market trends, competitor pricing, and demand for popular models.
- Provide procurement strategy recommendations to management.
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
