Position Overview
The Legal Manager will be responsible for managing the organization's legal, contractual, regulatory, and compliance matters while providing strategic legal guidance to business stakeholders. The role requires a strong understanding of commercial contracts, leasing arrangements, asset recovery, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. The incumbent will work closely with leadership, operations, collections, finance, procurement, and business teams to ensure legal risk mitigation and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including lease, vendor, customer, and partnership contracts.

Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Provide legal advice to Collections, business, operations, finance, and leadership teams.

Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.

Manage disputes, legal notices, litigation, and coordination with external counsel.

Support corporate governance, policy development, and statutory compliance.

Advise on asset ownership, recovery, and enforcement matters related to leased assets.

Monitor regulatory developments and recommend necessary actions.

Assist in protecting the company's intellectual property and confidential information.

Conduct legal awareness and compliance training for internal teams.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements

Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
-
LL.M. or specialization in Corporate/Commercial Law will be an added advantage.
Experience
-
5–10 years of post-qualification experience in legal and compliance functions.

Prior experience in one or more of the following sectors is preferred:
