Job Title: Plant Manager – Used Cooking Oil (UCO)

Job Purpose:
The Plant Manager is responsible for managing production outputs, ensuring strict safety and environmental compliance, maintaining equipment, and providing team leadership. The role requires a balance of strategic cost control and hands-on operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Production & Operations: Develop and execute production schedules to meet operational targets, ensuring optimal yields and process efficiency. Manage end-to-end activities including blending, extraction, and logistics.
- Safety & Compliance (HSE): Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental regulations. Ensure the plant complies with industry norms and leads regular safety audits.
- Maintenance & Asset Management: Direct preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize machine uptime, optimize equipment reliability, and reduce unplanned shutdowns.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Monitor operational costs, manage inventory, and drive resource optimization. Implement continuous improvement methodologies.
- Team Leadership: Manage multidisciplinary teams of engineers, operators, and support staff. Oversee shift scheduling, performance evaluations, and skill development.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Oil Recovery Yield & Quality: Achieving target product yields and maintaining strict quality standards.
- Equipment Reliability: Plant capacity utilization and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Safety Metrics: Zero lost-time incidents and full compliance with environmental standards.
- Cost Targets: Cost per ton of production and adherence to operational budgets.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in BSc., Chemistry (An MBA or advanced technical degree is often preferred.
- Experience: Typically 7 to 10+ years in Oil processing industries, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior plant leadership role.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of refining/blending processes, hazard management, ERP systems, and data-driven decision making.
