About the Role Head of the Department of Master of Business Administration (MBA) Roles and Responsibilities • Provide dynamic academic leadership to the MBA department, ensuring the highest teaching, learning, and research standards. • Lead the design, development, and continual improvement of the MBA curriculum in alignment with industry standards and institutional goals. • Deliver and supervise a range of high-quality teaching programs and academic activities. • Promote a strong research culture, develop the department's research strategy, and coordinate research initiatives within the MBA program. • Mentor and support faculty members to foster professional growth and academic excellence. • Ensure compliance with quality assurance, regulatory, and accreditation standards. • Collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to enhance academic partnerships, industry engagement, and student opportunities. • Actively participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource management for the department. • Represent the department within the institution and at external academic and professional events. Qualifications • MBA with Ph.D. in a relevant discipline. • Minimum 15 years of teaching experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership position (preferably in an Autonomous Institution). • Strong academic credentials with a distinguished record of teaching, research, and publications. • In-depth understanding of management education and evolving trends in business education. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and delegation skills. • Proven ability to mentor faculty and foster a collaborative academic environment. • Good knowledge and hands-on experience with accreditation processes (e.g., NAAC, NBA, NIRF).
