Sourcing & Vendor Development Executive – Food Packaging / Printing
We are looking for a Sourcing & Vendor Development Executive for a remote split-shift role.
The candidate will be responsible for understanding product requirements clearly, finding suitable vendors, sending RFQs, comparing quotations, negotiating with vendors, and presenting the best vendor options before final quotation is sent to the client.
This role is not only about forwarding RFQs. The candidate must first understand the product specifications properly and then approach the right vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand product requirements in detail before sending RFQs
- Clarify specifications such as size, GSM, material, printing type, lamination, quantity, packing, and delivery terms
- Source vendors through Alibaba, Made-in-China, Global Sources, 1688, and similar platforms
- Send RFQs to multiple suitable vendors
- Compare vendor quotations in detail against price, MOQ, lead time, quality, setup charges, payment terms, and freight terms
- Compare new vendor pricing with existing internal reference prices
- Negotiate with vendors for better pricing, MOQ, sample charges, payment terms, and delivery timelines
- Prepare a clear comparison sheet and present the best options to management
- Finalize vendors after internal discussion and approval
- Place orders with vendors after confirmation
- Follow up on production status, photos/videos, packing details, and shipment readiness
- Coordinate sea shipment details including carton quantity, CBM, gross weight, net weight, packing list, commercial invoice, FOB/EXW terms, etc.
Products
The candidate will mainly source customized food packaging and printing products such as paper bags, burger boxes, pizza boxes, paper cups, paper containers, napkins, wet wipes, stickers, labels, and other restaurant packaging items.
Required Experience
- Experience in sourcing, vendor development, procurement, or merchandising
- Experience using Alibaba, Made-in-China, or similar sourcing platforms
- Knowledge of food packaging or printing industry preferred
- Understanding of GSM, paper types, printing methods like offset/flexo, lamination, MOQ, carton packing, and CBM
- Ability to prepare quotation comparison sheets
- Strong negotiation and follow-up skills
- Basic understanding of export/import and sea shipment logistics

Remote / Work from Home
8:30 PM – 11:00 PM IST
7:00 AM – 1:30 PM IST
Split shift timing is mandatory.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

What points do you compare before recommending the best vendor, such as price, MOQ, lead time, payment terms, setup charges, quality, freight terms, etc.?

- Do you have experience in exporting goods from China or coordinating sea shipments from China?
