Accountant Job Title: Accountant Department: Finance & Accounts Reports To: Finance Manager / Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Job Summary The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and supporting the organization's financial operations. The role requires accuracy, analytical skills, and strong attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and accounting systems. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts. Process journal entries and maintain accurate accounting documentation. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation. Monitor cash flow and assist in treasury management. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and legal requirements. Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for cost control and process improvements. Generate management reports and financial analysis as required. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent (preferred). 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Tally, Xero, or ERP systems). Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Skills Experience with financial audits and compliance requirements. Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, or local accounting standards. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines. Strong business and financial acumen. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Accuracy of financial records and reports. Timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities. Compliance with regulatory and tax requirements. Efficiency in accounts payable and receivable management. Audit readiness and successful audit outcomes.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
