Job description :Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers
- Secure freight from shippers and match loads with appropriate carriers
- Negotiate rates, contracts, and delivery terms
- Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery
- Resolve issues such as delays, damages, or route changes
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, contracts, and invoices
- Ensure compliance with transportation laws and regulations
- Monitor market trends and capacity to optimize pricing
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and carriers
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Sales and customer service experience preferred
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Basic computer skills (TMS, load boards, email, spreadsheets)
- Knowledge of freight modes (truckload, LTL, intermodal) is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
