ROLE SUMMARY
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer & Technical Lead to be a hands-on technical leader within our India engineering team. This is not a people-manager or architect-only role. You will spend significant time designing, building, reviewing, debugging, and shipping production software while helping engineers around you raise their technical bar. You will be the technical point of contact for engineering excellence and talent development across our India team, working closely with the CTO and engineering leads to establish what “good” looks like in software engineering, code quality, testing, security, observability, and production readiness. WHAT YOU'LL DO – Write and ship production-quality code across our AI/fintech platform. – Take ownership of technically complex features from design through deployment and operation. – Establish and reinforce engineering standards for: Code quality Testing and test automation Security Performance and scalability Observability Reliability Documentation – Conduct meaningful code reviews and provide actionable technical feedback. – Work directly with junior and intermediate engineers to help them improve their engineering judgment and execution. – Define and demonstrate “what good looks like” through your own code and technical decisions. – Act as the single technical POC for engineering talent development in India, including onboarding, technical mentoring, development plans, and engineering practices. – Identify capability gaps across the engineering team and help create practical training/coaching programs. – Partner with Product, AI/ML, Security, and Compliance teams to deliver production-ready financial technology. – Help engineers move from “feature complete” to production ready. – Participate in architecture and design discussions, while remaining accountable for implementation. – Contribute to hiring and technical evaluation of engineers.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
– 7+ years of software engineering experience.
– Strong hands-on experience building production systems.
– Excellent proficiency in one or more modern languages, preferably Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or Go.
– Strong backend/API and distributed-systems fundamentals.
– Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
– Strong understanding of testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and production operations.
– Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers through hands-on technical coaching. – Excellent code-review and technical communication skills.
– Experience working in fast-moving product environments. PARTICULARLY VALUABLE – Experience building AI/ML-enabled applications or agentic systems.
– Fintech, financial services, or regulated-industry experience.
– Experience with LLMs, APIs, RAG, agents, MCP, or AI infrastructure.
– Experience building systems where auditability, security, and compliance matter.
Pay: ₹1,053,191.24 - ₹2,385,621.54 per year
