About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Lab Technician to join our Bangalore laboratory. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong academic background in Medical Laboratory Technology and hands-on exposure to Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, and Hematology. You will support day-to-day laboratory operations by ensuring accurate sample processing, timely reporting, and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory testing in Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, and Hematology as per established SOPs.
- Receive, process, and prepare patient samples for testing, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Operate automated laboratory analyzers and assist with routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Perform Internal Quality Control (IQC) procedures and promptly report any deviations.
- Ensure accurate data entry and maintain laboratory records in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Follow NABL guidelines, laboratory SOPs, biosafety protocols, and quality standards.
- Monitor reagent inventory and maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.
- Work closely with senior technicians, pathologists, and operations teams to achieve Turnaround Time (TAT) targets.
- Participate in training programs and continuously develop technical knowledge and laboratory skills.
Requirements
- DMLT, BMLT, B.Sc. MLT, or an equivalent qualification in Medical Laboratory Technology or Life Sciences.
- 0–2 years of experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory. Freshers with strong internship or practical laboratory exposure are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, and Hematology laboratory procedures.
- Familiarity with automated analyzers, laboratory equipment, and quality control practices is preferred.
- Good communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts based on business requirements.
