We are seeking a dedicated, professional, and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our dental and aesthetic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist dentists during clinical procedures, ensure efficient patient care, maintain sterilization protocols, and contribute to a positive patient experience. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn advanced dental technologies and procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Assistance
- Assist dentists during examinations, restorative procedures, extractions, root canal treatments, cosmetic dental procedures, and other dental treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
- Ensure all instruments and materials required for procedures are readily available.
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as per regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in taking dental impressions and intraoral photographs when required.
Patient Care
- Welcome and prepare patients for treatment.
- Explain treatment procedures and post-operative instructions under the supervision of the dentist.
- Ensure patient comfort and maintain a positive clinical experience.
- Monitor patients during procedures and report any concerns to the dentist.
Sterilization & Infection Control
- Maintain strict sterilization and infection-control protocols.
- Clean, disinfect, and organize dental instruments and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with clinic hygiene and safety standards.
Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Assist with appointment scheduling and patient follow-up when needed.
- Manage inventory and ensure adequate stock of dental materials and supplies.
Professional Development
- Stay updated with current dental assisting techniques and technologies.
- Participate in training programs and continuing education activities.
- Willingness to learn advanced dental procedures, digital dentistry systems, implant assistance, and cosmetic dentistry protocols.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Certification in Dental Assisting preferred.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic is desirable but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization procedures, and infection-control practices.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with dental software are an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
